The Northumberland Light Blues (NLB) team is made up of a dedicated team of members who help coordinate and deliver our activities and events across the Province.
At its core is the NLB Executive Committee, made up of the Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. This team provides overall direction, ensures we stay on track with our aims, and makes key decisions to help the Light Blues continue to grow and thrive.
Supporting the exec are our ambassadors, who represent us at lodge meetings, help organise events, and bring forward ideas and feedback from across the Province. They play a vital role in keeping the Light Blues connected to its membership and ensuring everything we do remains relevant, inclusive, and engaging.
The Chairman leads the committee, helping to set priorities and ensure the group delivers on its aims. W. Bro Terry Christie is a highly experienced Freemason who has received Provincial honours. As a well-respected “dark blue,” he brings a wealth of Masonic knowledge and guidance to the team.
The Secretary manages communications, meetings, and planning. W. Bro Gareth Marijt brings strong leadership experience, having previously chaired an earlier incarnation of the Light Blues. As an experienced “light blue,” he offers continuity and deep insight into how the group can best support newer members.
The Treasurer looks after the finances and helps ensure our activities are sustainable and accessible. Bro Stephen Frost is a relatively new Freemason with a couple of years’ experience. Despite being new, he has been involved in other membership organisation and brings fresh energy and a practical approach to the role.
