The Alston to Haltwhistle NMCA Charity Fundraising Event on Saturday 16 August 2025 is a 13-mile sponsored walk through scenic countryside, organised by The Duke of Connaught Lodge and the Northumberland Light Blues in support of the Northumberland Masonic Charity Association. Participants can opt for a shorter 8.5-mile route using a vintage steam train to Slaggyford, and the day concludes with a family fun day at Featherstone Castle featuring entertainment, food, and activities.
The September Masonic Quarterly Communication will take place in London at Freemasons’ Hall on Wednesday 10 September 2025. This key meeting of the United Grand Lodge of England brings together Brethren from across the country to hear important updates, vote on proposals, and witness ceremonial work in the Grand Temple. The event offers a valuable opportunity for learning, fellowship, and engagement with the wider Craft. All Master Masons are welcome to attend and are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat and enjoy the atmosphere of this distinguished Masonic occasion.
We're heading to a very special event hosted by Cornerstone Lodge No. 10051 – a travelling Lodge from Yorkshire North & East Ridings known for its distinctive traditions, including use of the thurible before opening.
This meeting takes place in a characterful 18th-century-style barn with a roaring open fire, and members are encouraged to dress as 18th-century gentlemen. After the Lodge is closed, family and guests are welcomed in for a talk by Prestonian Lecturer 2012, Tony Harvey, followed by a white table hog roast and entertainment from the bagpipes.
